This project will develop a model of the social impact of the growing presence of information and communication technologies in the everyday life of the less abled (the elderly and the physically handicapped) in Europe.  It will investigate the capacity of such technologies to aid integration into society and improve the quality of life of vulnerable groups. To this end it will construct a predictive model based on the analysis of comparative quantitative and qualitative data, analyse alternative scenarios and generate policy recommendations for the industry, national policy makers and the Commission. Liège will co-ordinate the meta project on methods and methodologies for the Information Society in Europe.
