About me

Mojirayo is a Policy Officer at the African Health Observatory Platform (AHOP) at LSE Health. AHOP is a regional partnership that promotes evidence-informed policy-making and knowledge exchange to support health systems strengthening across five national centres in Senegal, Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Rwanda.

Moji's research interest is in science communication in Africa. At AHOP, Moji supports research on misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also coordinates the knowledge engagement and dissemination activities of the platform such as policy dialogues, blogs and events. Outside of AHOP, approaching health and environmental emergencies as cultural invasions, she is interested in how the public reconciles new rapidly changing information to their pre-existing knowledge, cultures and identities.

Moji has a background in palaeontology with a BSc in Natural Sciences from UCL, and an MScR in Palaeontology and Geobiology from the University of Edinburgh. She progressed to the social sciences and obtained an MSc in Social and Public Communication at the London School of Economics.
