Exercising your voice in academic writing (Masterclass with Marina Benjamin)

Marina Benjamin is senior editor at Aeon magazine, consultant fellow for the Royal Literary Fund and creative writing tutor at Arvon. Along with Tina Pepler and novelist Anna Barker, Marina Benjamin runs True North and enterprise that works  with academic writers to find the narrative and voice in their work. She is a celebrated author of five books including her most recent memoirs Middlepause (2016) and Insomnia (2018). You can read more about her here: http://marina-benjamin.com/about/ 

Sessions are open to 3rd year LLB full unit dissertation students, PhD students and all LLM students but registration is required.

Ronan Harrington is Keynote Speaker and Client Partner at Tough Cookie, helping organisations address mental health, burnout and improve their mental resilience. 

Ronan will share the underlying factors that drive burnout and what resilience looks like when adversity doesn't let up. Ronan has an inspiring and moving story having experienced severe burnout from leading the Political Strategy for Extinction Rebellion, and now navigating ongoing chronic health issues.
