The Innovation Co-creation Lab, the Latin America and Caribbean Centre and LSE Generate are delighted to co-host the second workshop of the Social Entrepreneurship 360° series on 1 March 2018. The series, sponsored by Santander, will bring together a new group of four successful social entrepreneurs at different stages of development who will explain their journey, their business models, their failures and lessons learned, and shared their ‘golden nuggets’ for success.

Gino Tubaro, born in 1995 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is an electronic engineer student, young inventor, start-up founder and entrepreneur. He is a two-time TEDx speaker and has received two awards by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO / OMPI), endorsed by the UN. In 2013 was selected to participate in the National Youth Science Camp (NYSC) by the State Department of the USA. In 2015 he was featured as "Alumni of the Month" worldwide by the United States Department of State and the Embassy of the United States in "recognition of his leadership in creating innovative solutions to help people with disabilities live without limits." In parallel with his entrepreneurial activities, he worked for a year as the leader of the national program "Argentina in 3D", of "Jefatura de Gabinetes de Ministros", under the supervision of the Argentine Presidency. He then left to found The Atomic Lab, a start-up dedicated to “do the inventions that change the world.” One of its main projects, the online platform Limbs, has provided people with more than 650 prosthetic limbs for free, saving them more than $ 3M. The multi-award project has been praised by important entities such as former US President Barack Obama, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the History Channel, UNESCO, the Muhammad Ali Foundation, the Lionel Messi Foundation, among others, and has received the support of the Argentine Presidency. Other Atomic Lab projects include “a text to braille translator”, synthetic muscles, and a camera for blind users.
