Guest tickets

Graduation ceremony tickets are free of charge.

Normally, if requested by the booking deadline specified in the invitation, graduands will receive up to two guest tickets.

  • Please see details below about tickets for children and seating requirements.
  • Neither graduand nor guest tickets are transferable.
  • Only guests of graduands participating in the ceremony are able to attend.

Extra guest tickets

Extra guest tickets, beyond two per graduand, are not likely to be available. If available, they will be given out in the order we receive the waiting list forms. Some may also be available at the return ticket queue on the day. See below for details.

Extra guest ticket waiting list 

To register interest in receiving up to two extra guest tickets for the December 2017 ceremonies, please submit your details below. Extra guest tickets will be given out in the order we receive the waiting list forms as they become available, any time between now and the ceremonies.We will email you if extra tickets are added to yout ticket reservation.

We will email you if any extra guest tickets become available between now and five weeks before the ceremonies.

Live on-campus screening

Although guests without tickets will, unfortunately, be unable to gain entry to the ceremony or to the post-ceremony reception, they are still very welcome to join us on the day, and to enjoy the celebratory ceremony atmosphere on campus, including watching a live screening of your ceremony. 

Return ticket queue

On the day, last minute returned tickets and uncollected tickets will be given out to those in the return ticket queue located in the corridor behind the Student Services Centre. The return ticket queue will open two hours before the ceremony is due to begin. At 15 minutes before the ceremony is due to begin, any available tickets will be given out to those in the return ticket queue. Extra guests should then make their way to the Peacock Theatre. Any guest arriving to the ceremony late may not be able to gain entry. Please check with the ticket collection desk on the day with queries.


Due to health and safety regulations, all children, other than babies in arms, must have their own seat if attending the ceremony.

Special seating arrangements

Please log any special seating requirements due to, for example, visual impairment or mobility issues, on the booking form. Alternatively, you may email Ceremonies. We can usually make appropriate arrangements provided that we receive sufficient notice.
