About me

Ben Cormier is an International Political Economy Fellow at the LSE’s Department of International Relations.

Ben’s research centres on the IPE of finance and development. On-going studies focus on the politics of public debt accumulation, government borrowing decisions, public debt management, emerging market credit ratings, bond indices, the evolution of World Bank loan conditions, and Chinese financial flows. Related work is published in Governance, Review of International Organizations, Third World Quarterly, Review of Policy Research, and Journal of Organizational Behavior.

Ben holds degrees from Cornell University (BSc), the University of Glasgow (MRes), and the University of Toronto (PhD).
