About me

Carolin Dieterle is a PhD student in the department of International Development. Carolin’s research focuses on land conflict, property rights, and public authority in sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on the processes of land acquisition. Her PhD project explores the dynamics around large-scale land investments in Uganda and Sierra Leone and is based on one year of fieldwork. Carolin holds a B.A. in Social Science form the Humboldt University of Berlin, and an M.Sc. and MRes in International Development from the London School of Economics (LSE).
