Fadil Elobeid is Programme Admin & Finance Officer (Maternity Cover) for the African Health Observatory Platform on Health Systems & Policies (AHOP). Hosted by the WHO Regional Office for Africa (WHO AFRO), AHOP leverages existing national and regional collaborations to form a network of National Centres that currently include leading research institutions in Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda and Senegal. AHOP draws on support from a technical consortium including the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, LSE and national, regional and global partners.
Prior to this, Fadil was responsible for External Engagement and Events at SOAS’ Centre for International Studies & Diplomacy, where he negotiated a number of partnerships between SOAS and African Higher Education institutions. In addition to this he project managed the Centre’s 5 short course programmes, including SOAS’ first in Africa (Addis Ababa).
Fadil has previously worked in a range of programme support and communications roles, including: the Cabinet Office, Africa Research Institute, and the Royal African Society. He has a Master's from Sciences Po Paris and a Bachelor's from SOAS, University of London.
