This report analyses the results of a survey of 59 Ministries of Finance carried out under the Helsinki Principle 4 initiative ‘Economic Analysis for Green and Resilient Transitions’. The survey is the first systematic attempt to explore how Ministries of Finance around the world are approaching the transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy. There were two main objectives of the survey:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. To gain a deeper understanding of how Ministries of Finance are currently thinking about climate-related risks and opportunities, and how these are being integrated into their analytical and decision-making frameworks
2. To identify potential technical gaps and implementation challenges, and highlight areas that would most benefit from greater support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This report is an output of the ‘Economic Analysis for Green and Resilient Transitions’ initiative of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action<\/a>, led by Denmark’s Ministry of Finance with support from the Grantham Research Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
