Mette Eilstrup-Sangiovanni is Full Professor in the Department of Politics and International Studies, University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Sidney Sussex College. She is also Director of the Cambridge Master of Studies Programme in International Relations, and Project Director for Research Culture at Cambridge University, School of Humanities and Social Sciences. She previously held visiting positions at the Nobel Institute, Oslo, and the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence. She has also consulted for a variety of international and non-governmental organizations on international security issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Mette’s work focuses on transnational advocacy and environmental activism along with international organization, international security and arms control, and European politics. Her latest books on environmental advocacy and activism include Vigilantes beyond borders: NGOs as enforcers of international law (Princeton University Press, 2022 – w. JC Sharman) and Climate activism, digital technologies, and organizational change (Cambridge University Press, 2025 – w. N. Hall).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
