Emma is a Research Officer in the Earth Capital Nexus<\/a> initiative at the Grantham Research Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her work focuses on the ocean economy, nature insurance and nature-related financial risks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Emma is a PhD researcher at the Nature-based Solutions Initiative in the Department of Biology at the University of Oxford, co-supervised by Nicola Ranger and Nathalie Seddon. She is also seconded part-time to the Bank of England and to the World Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to joining the LSE, Emma was research assistant with the Global Finance and Economy group at the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford contributing to research on nature-related risks to the economy. She also previously worked at Aon on public private partnerships and climate analytics for reinsurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emma holds an undergraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University, where her research focused on reef fish ecology, and an MSc in Sustainability, Enterprise, and the Environment from the University of Oxford.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\n
