Carlo Pasqua is a Research Economist at Earth Capital Nexus<\/path><\/svg><\/a>, hosted by the Grantham Research Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). His work focuses on the macroeconomic and macro-financial implications of climate- and nature-related risks, with the aim of informing policy analysis and investment decisions. He is particularly interested in financial stability, sovereign debt sustainability and the macroeconomics of low-income and climate-vulnerable economies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Previously, Carlo worked at the University of Oxford, where he led research on nature investment in emerging economies and helped develop financing strategies to address environmental and economic challenges, particularly in East Africa. He also worked as a Research Analyst at the European Central Bank, providing analysis and policy advice for the Executive Board and contributing as part of the Climate Change Centre on issues related to the green transition, climate-related financial risk, and the macroeconomic and financial stability implications of environmental change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
