Laura is a Research Officer at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, at the London School of Economics and Political Science. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laura contributes to the EU’s Naturance<\/strong><\/strong><\/a> project, exploring innovative insurance solutions for nature-based solutions. Laura also contributes to LSE’s input to the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance<\/strong><\/a> (2025–2027), funded by the Z Zurich Foundation. The Alliance is a multi-sectoral collaboration involving research institutes, NGOs, and the private sector, aimed at enhancing the resilience of local communities in both developed and developing countries against multiple hazards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laura’s research uses a natural capital approach to integrate nature into business and policy-decision making. Laura has expertise in the areas of nature, biodiversity, sustainability disclosures, nature-based solutions and corporate and financial institution measurement of nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Prior to joining the Grantham Research Institute, Laura was a Senior Manager within the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures<\/path><\/svg><\/a>, responsible for leading the development of TNFD’s measurement architecture and developing technical materials and guidance on the assessment and disclosure of nature-related issues corporates and financial institutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laura also developed the Climate Disclosure Standards Board<\/path><\/svg><\/a>s’ Biodiversity Application Guidance<\/path><\/svg><\/a>, which assist companies in the disclosure of material risks and opportunities related to biodiversity, and was part of the team that developed the British Ecological Society<\/path><\/svg><\/a>’s landmark report on nature-based solutions for climate change within the UK<\/path><\/svg><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laura holds an undergraduate degree in Economics, an MSc in Conservation and Biodiversity and is a qualified chartered accountant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
