Rachel is an interdisciplinary environmental governance researcher focused on adaptation policy development and financing.   She is a postdoctoral Research Officer (Adaptation Finance) and part of the team delivering ATTENUATE<\/a>,<\/strong> which focuses on proving the investment potential of UK adaptation and enhancing enabling environments for adaptation finance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rachel’s research explores the complexities of adaptation governance between national and international scales. Prior to joining LSE, she completed her PhD in the Geography Department at King’s College London. Her research explored how climate multilateralism is influencing national decision-making on the use of planned relocations, through the politics of adaptation and loss and damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel holds an MA in Environmental Policy from Sciences Po Paris, and a BA in International Studies and Biology from Macalester College. She also previously worked at The Climate Group in New York, supporting renewable energy transitions within the private sector and among sub-national governments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
