Jeanette L. Kaiser is currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental Policy and Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) within the Department of Geography and Environment. Through her PhD research, Ms. Kaiser is assessing the internal and contextual factors which enable or hinder organisational adaptation to climate change. She is developing an integrated theory of structural and psychological factors affecting the capacity of organisations to adapt. Within a case study of a major water sector non-governmental organisation operating in the development sectors of the Global South, Ms. Kaiser is exploring how the factors identified from the literature are unfolding in the real world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prior to starting at LSE, Ms. Kaiser obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs and Environmental Studies from The George Washington University and a Master of Public Health degree from Boston University. Additionally, she holds a Graduate Certificate in African Studies from Boston University. Professionally, she worked as a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Global Health at Boston University for nearly a decade where she conducted multiple mixed-method impact and implementation evaluations focusing on access to and quality of health services primarily in sub-Saharan Africa. She resided in Zambia for five cumulative years, with additional time spent in South Africa, Lesotho, and Tanzania. Ms. Kaiser continues to consult with Boston University and has consulted for UNICEF, conducting qualitative data analysis of a Measles Rubella vaccination campaign process evaluation in Senegal. She has published over 35 research articles in multiple high-impact journals including the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology<\/em>, BMJ Global Health<\/em>, Social Science and Medicine, <\/em>and Human Resources for Health<\/em>. Ms. Kaiser has guest lectured for multiple public health courses during her time at Boston University and facilitated research methods trainings and dissemination workshops in Zambia and South Africa.
