Benjamin Braun is assistant professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he teaches political economy at the European Institute. Prior to that, Benjamin held a senior researcher position at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne. During that time, he spent two years in the United States, as a JFK Memorial Fellow at the Center for European Studies at Harvard University and as a member of the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. He is principal investigator (PI) of the DFG-funded research project ‘Central banking in hard times’, located at the HertieSchool, and co-PI of the Hewlett-funded project ‘New generators of inequality: Asset managers and private equity’, based at Brown University. His research focuses on the political economy of finance and the state, with research questions revolving around topics such as wealth inequality, the green transition, and monetary policy and inflation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
