Wallis is a Policy Fellow leading on the development and integration of the Centre for Economic Transition Expertise’s<\/path><\/svg><\/a> nature strategy. Her research interest lies in understanding how a new approach to risk and uncertainty in monetary and fiscal policy can help transition financial flows toward net zero and ecological resilience. In the past, her thinking has focused on how property insurance shapes climate adaptation, and the shifting roles and responsibilities of public, private and political realms under climate uncertainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wallis previously worked in Aotearoa New Zealand’s central government, working across the Ministry for the Environment and the Treasury on a joint green finance programme, and before that, leading work across government agencies on sustainable food systems and land use policy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Wallis holds an MPA from University College London’s Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP), and a BSc in Marine Biology, and a BCom in Business from Victoria University of Wellington (VUW).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
