Maria is a Policy Analyst working on Nature and Central Banking at the LSE Centre for Economic Transition Expertise (CETEx)<\/path><\/svg><\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Maria holds a MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics (PPLE) from the University of Amsterdam (UvA). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has experience working on sustainable finance at De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and OECD. At DNB, she explored what social factors are material social risks for financial stability. At the OECD, she worked with financial sector and regulatory teams in the Centre for Responsible Business Conduct (RBC), where she developed policy guidance to operationalise RBC due diligence for financial practitioners and tracked regulatory developments on RBC across OECD countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her MSc at LSE, she also contributed to research on the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) for Professor Sarah Ashwin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
