Moritz Baer is an Associate at the University of Oxford Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET), an Academic Visitor at the Bank of England and an Associate Research Fellow the the UK Centre for Greening Finance and Investment. His research focuses on the impact of transition risk on the financial system with a focus on scenario analysis to derive sensitive intervention points for financial policies and assessing the implications for central banks and financial regulators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
He was previously the Programme Manager of the Environmental Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis Programme (ESTS) at the Oxford Sustainable Finance Group and held positions at the European Central Bank, Directorate Générale Macroprudential Policy and Financial Stability, at Cambridge University, at the Ecological Economics Institute at WU in Vienna and and as a member of the Secretariat for the Finance Sector Expert Group for Race to Zero (FSEG), established by the High-Level Climate Champions for Climate Action and the UNFCCC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
