Will is an interdisciplinary researcher on water security. He works on the BASIN research programme<\/a>, which aims to investigate the application of behavioural science for climate adaptation in Africa to enhance water security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Prior to joining the Grantham Institute, Will was a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Geography and the Environment, University of Oxford. His focus has been on rural water service delivery in sub-Saharan Africa, the role of new water point technologies including ‘water ATMs’ and ‘smart handpumps’, and the impacts of climate change on water security. He has worked closely with service providers in East Africa. Will obtained his PhD at the Centre for Water Systems, University of Exeter, and previously worked on international climate change policy. He holds a MChem (Masters in Chemistry) from the University of York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
