Elisabeth Gsottbauer is a Visiting Senior Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. She was previously an Assistant Professorial Research Fellow at Institute from September 2022 until January 2024. Elizabeth also holds a research position at the University of Innsbruck and is a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Land Economy and Wolfson College at the University of Cambridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her work focuses on the application of experimental methods to study the effectiveness and acceptance of environmental policy instruments and interventions. She is also interested in how behavioral aspects influence (environmental) decisions and how behavioral insights can inform public policy making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Elisabeth received her PhD from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2013. She was a Postdoc at ETH Zurich and Alexander-von-Humboldt Professorship of Environmental Economics at the University of Osnabrück, Germany and has visited the University of Gothenburg, Environmental Economics Unit as a guest lecturer. Elisabeth has also been awarded a British Academy Fellowship to visit the University of Cambridge. She holds a double degree in Economics and International Business and Economics from the University of Innsbruck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
