Laura is an ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow in the International Development department at LSE whose research focuses on the interaction between the environment and women’s health. Laura is currently developing a participatory research project to be based in Peru, which aims to involve local communities in environmental data collection and to ascertain links between self-defined key environmental concerns and maternal and reproductive health outcomes.<\/p>\n

Background<\/h3>\n
Laura is an interdisciplinary researcher with a background in Biological Anthropology (BSc, Kent), Reproductive and Sexual Health Research (MSc, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine [LSHTM]) and Epidemiology & Population Health – Demography (PhD, LSHTM). Laura has previously worked in Public Health England’s Behavioural Insights Team, where she conducted the analysis for behaviourally-informed public health trials on the topics of food environments, obesity, diabetes, and HIV testing. She has also recently been working with Dr Tiziana Leone (Department of International Development, LSE) on a research project looking at the determinants and impacts of age at menarche and menopause. Laura’s teaching experience includes teaching Basic Epidemiology and Statistics for Epidemiology & Population Health at LSHTM, Key Concepts in Global Health and Applied Epidemiology & Social Statistics at King’s and Evolutionary Medicine and Public Health at Oxford and UCL.<\/p>\n
