Kathy is also Professor of International Development at the LSE and is the on the editorial team of Review of International Political Economy<\/em>, associate editor of Journal of Politics in Latin America<\/em>, and member of the editorial boards of Global Environmental Politics<\/em> and Latin American Politics and Society<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Background<\/h3>\n

Kathy holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and a BA in Economics and International Studies from Earlham College. She has published widely on environmental politics in emerging powers, especially Brazil, at domestic, regional, and global levels. Her most recent books are Advances in International Environmental Politics, 2nd edition <\/em>(Palgrave, 2014, co-edited with Michele Betsill and Dimitris Stevis) and the prize-winning Greening Brazil: Environmental Activism in State and Society<\/em> (Duke, 2007, co-authored with Margaret E. Keck).<\/p>\n

Before coming to the LSE in September, 2016, she held faculty positions at the Balsillie School of International Affairs, University of Waterloo, University of New Mexico, and Colorado State University.<\/p>\n
