Climate misinformation refers to the spread of inaccurate information about climate change that can arise from human error, while climate disinformation is driven by a deliberate intent to spread knowingly false information. Climate misinformation presents a persistent problem in making progress on tackling climate change, even within parliamentary debate and political campaigning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A collection of essays addressing some of the most common narratives was produced by Grantham Institute at Imperial College London and the Grantham Research Institute at LSE in 2024 (The truth about climate action in the UK: dispelling common myths to underline the importance of acting on net zero<\/a>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In November 2025 Lord Stern, Chair of the Grantham Research Institute, published “The Growth Story of the 21^{st<\/sup>Century: The Economics and Opportunity of Climate Action<\/a>”.
