The Institute is currently running a major project on the economics of adaptation. At the micro-level the project will assess a number of ‘live’ adaptation projects to deepen methodological lessons for both adaptation researchers and practitioners (e.g. on benefit valuation, the definition of counterfactuals, the treatment of uncertainty and the analysis of autonomous adaptation).<\/p>\n

At the macro-level, the project will undertake targeted research that can help the adaptation and development communities better understand the economic implications of specific adaptation and development choices (e.g., choices concerning infrastructure investments or agriculture policy).<\/p>\n
