The Grantham Research Institute has been publishing the annual ‘Global Trends in Climate Change Litigation<\/strong>’ snapshot series since 2019, drawing on the Sabin Center’s Climate Change Litigation Databases<\/path><\/svg><\/a> (see below for report links). The reports are widely recognised as the go-to authoritative resource on the subject for practitioners, policymakers, judges and academics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each report provides a synthesis of the latest research and developments in the climate change litigation field. They present numerical analysis of how many climate change litigation cases were filed in the past year, where and by whom, and a qualitative assessment of trends and themes in the types of cases filed.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The influence of the Global Trends in Climate Litigation report is evident throughout the legal profession, including at the very highest levels of climate litigation and justice. The reports have been cited in publications by the European Central Bank, the Network for Greening the Financial System, the European Environment Agency and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, among many others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
