{"id":91073,"date":"2026-10-02T11:02:41","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T10:02:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lse.ac.uk\/granthaminstitute\/?post_type=news&#038;p=91073"},"modified":"2026-10-02T11:39:24","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T10:39:24","slug":"gri-research-fellow-wins-lse-impact-prize-rising-star-award","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.lse.ac.uk\/granthaminstitute\/news\/gri-research-fellow-wins-lse-impact-prize-rising-star-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Institute Research Fellow wins LSE Impact Prize Rising Star award"},"content":{"rendered":"<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-\/\/W3C\/\/DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional\/\/EN\" \"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/REC-html40\/loose.dtd\">\n<?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lse.ac.uk\/people\/noah-walker-crawford\">Dr Noah Walker-Crawford<\/a>, Research Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and the Department of Anthropology, has won the Rising Star award at the LSE Impact Prize 2026, given for impact achieved by an early career researcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The award recognises his project, &ldquo;Making climate science count: bridging research and legal practice in climate litigation.&rdquo; Noah has played a central role in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lse.ac.uk\/granthaminstitute\/litigation\/lliuya-v-rwe\/\">Lliuya v RWE case<\/a>, in which a German court ruled in May 2025 that major corporate emitters can be held legally liable for climate harm.
