Researchers from the Grantham Research Institute gained recognition in two out of six categories for LSE’s Impact Prize<\/strong>. The Prize recognises excellent engagement, impact, and impact culture across LSE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Timo Leiter won the award for ‘Outstanding individual impact: For excellence in impact achieved by an individual member of staff’. This was for his work ‘Global targets and indicators under the Paris Agreement drive action and provide accountability on adaptation to climate change’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Alina Averchekova, Emily Bradeen, Tiffanie Chan, Catherine Higham and Dr Joana Setzer (members of the Institute’s Law and Governance team) were highly commended in the ‘Outstanding team impact’ category which recognises excellence in impact achieved working as a team (e.g. across researchers, professional services, external non-academic organisations, etc). This is for their work on ‘Shaping Global and National Climate Governance’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The awards were presented by LSE President and Vice Chancellor Prof. Larry Kramer and by Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research) Prof. Susana Mourato at an event at LSE on 25 June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
