Commenting on announcement today (Monday 8 October) of the winners of The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2018<\/path><\/svg><\/a>, Nicholas Stern, I.G. Patel Professor of Economics and Government, Chair of the ESRC Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy and Chair of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science, said:<\/p>\n

“Congratulations to Bill Nordhaus and Paul Romer on the award of the Nobel Prize for economics. They have made important contributions to our understanding of the influence of the environment and technological change on the processes of growth.”<\/p>\n
