This event is jointly hosted by the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and the Global School of Sustainability<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facing with the challenges of external Trump trade war and internal real estate sector downturn, China prepared itself for a long-term external environment change, and shifted its development strategy. The new strategy moves away from the previous economic growth model dominated by GDP growth to a multi-dimensional and much balanced economic development strategy. The new strategy includes goals of security, science and technology innovation, economic development, green transformation and shared common prosperity. This strategy attaches importance to the development of the domestic consumer market, to the development of AI +, to the high tech-manufacturing, to the carbon neutrality transformation, and to the equality and shared common prosperity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking forward, China’s economic development is expected to be more domestic market oriented, higher quality growth, and stronger economic resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
