Mini-publics like citizen assemblies and citizen juries have been practiced in all corners of the world to combat the shortcomings of our democracies. Can these representative and deliberative processes encourage governments to take actions desperately needed for climate transitions?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On behalf of RETOOL, a new Horizon Europe project on climate democracy, we would like to invite you to join active citizens, practitioners and researchers from the UK, Estonia and Belgium for a hyperlocal discussion on 17th of May 2024. The discussion will explore how deliberative public participation can strengthen climate democracy and accelerate climate transitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
