Public Management Faculty Research Group (Department of Management)
The Public Management Faculty Research Group is an interdisciplinary research group. Our faculty draw from a variety of disciplines such as economics, political science, sociology, strategy, operations research and decision sciences to conduct research on a wide range of managerial issues in the public and private sector.
Faculty members from the Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science (PBS) use their diverse insights to address fundamental questions of health and well-being. The research is truly global, from the wide range of countries reached, to the context of local everyday settings in which health is lived and negotiated. Research areas include, behavioural science, community psychology and social psychology.
International Growth Centre
The International Growth Centre (IGC) aims to promote sustainable growth in developing countries by providing demand-led policy advice based on frontier research.
Medical Technology Research Group
The Medical Technology Research Group (MTRG) is a research unit within the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) concentrating on interdisciplinary and comparative policy research on medical technologies. The groups conducts research in four main areas: the economics of medical technologies, sustainability of health care financing, access to medical technologies in developing, transition and emerging economies and on disease management and the effectiveness of policies on medical technology.
The Politics of Global Health – International Development Research Theme
The Politics of Gobal Health analysis focuses on the politics of how global health policies emerge in relation to the people who live in, and come to Europe from, low and middle-income countries, and medical concerns that especially concern poorer and more vulnerable people.

The Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU) is one of the leading social care research groups, not just in the UK, but internationally. Since its establishment in 1974, it has had considerable impact on national social care policy in the UK and in a number of other countries.
