Elia R.G. Pusterla is a doctor in political science (PhD, University of Geneva – Switzerland) and holds a MA in European Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies by the College of Europe (Natolin, Warsaw). He has been appointed as Academic Assistant at the Department of Political Science and International Relations (University of Geneva – Switzerland) where he taught seminars on international relations and international political theory, scientific methods applied to the international domain, and introduction on methods of political science. He has also been visiting fellow at the Department of International Relations (London School of Economics and Political Science – United Kingdom). After the obtainment of his PhD, he has being undertaking his postdoctoral research at the London School of Economics and Political Science (United Kingdom) and at the European University Institute (Fiesole, Italy). He is interested in political theory and philosophy applied in particular to international relations and European studies. His various works revolve around the theme of sovereignty in all its possible meanings, including linguistic and ethical as well as political, juridical and ontological ones. He is also the author of several scientific articles as well as of a monograph dealing with these issues and for which he has also obtained important research funds. He is currently working on issues of post-truth politics and political ontology through the lenses of authors such as Derrida, Agamben, Arendt and Levinas among others.
Elia’s research interests mainly lie in the fields of political theory, European studies, international relations, and political philosophy.
