Thessa’s work focuses on central banking and financial supervision in the context of environmental degradation, including biodiversity loss and deforestation. She is a Policy Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, which she joined in 2023. Previously, she was a Climate Policy Analyst at the Central Bank of Malaysia, and worked at the Centre of Technology, Strategy and Sustainability at the Asia School of Business. Thessa holds an MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Governance from the University of Oxford, and a Law degree from School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
