Hugh works at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development as a Policy Analyst, focusing on biodiversity-related financial risks and critical minerals. He is a Visiting Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, which he joined in 2021. He started out at the Bank of England where he worked in the Prudential Policy Department, focusing on large exposures and climate-related financial risks, before undertaking an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change at LSE, during which time he also worked for the Grantham Research Institute on central banks and climate-related risks.
