Aziz has more than 22 years’ experience in international banking and finance, and in setting, enforcing and advising on regulatory policies and standards for international authorities. He is a Senior Visiting Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, which he joined in 2023. Aziz currently is the Team Lead and Senior TA Specialist, Technical Assistance at the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) and is responsible for the provision of capacity development and technical assistance to the central banks and Ministries of Finance of the ASEAN+3 countries. His work includes advising on climate- and nature-related risks and on green and sustainable finance policies.
