Sandra Obradović is an LSE Fellow in the Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She obtained her BA in Sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), her MSc in Social and Cultural Psychology and her PhD in Psychology at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Her research interests focus on exploring the interlinks between history, psychology and politics, in particular in relation to three broad strands of research; 1) research on social representations of history, collective memory, perceived collective continuity and the importance of temporality in identity and intergroup processes, 2) research on national identity, (banal and hot) nationalism and the politicization of identity in political discourse, and 3) research on self-categorization, recognition and meta-representations, in particular focusing on threatened/undermined identities and intergroup processes.
