Eleni, or Dr K, as most of her students call her, is an Associate Fellow of the HEA and has a Ph.D. in Functional Analysis (Musielak-Orlicz sequence spaces) from the University of Memphis and a MSc in European Political Economy from LSE.
In 2014 she started developing the round table model, an active-learning course design for teaching and learning mathematics. The round table model has been successfully implemented for a number of years in MA203 and MA209. This innovative work resulted to two teaching awards in 2016, namely, the LSESU Award for Innovative Teaching and an LSE Excellence in Education Award.
Eleni is the course leader of ME306 Real Analysis at the LSE Summer School since 2013 and a Teaching Fellow at the Department of Mathematics at UCL. In the period 2014-2017, she was a Course Tutor at the Department of Mathematics at LSE, lecturing Probability for Finance (MA313), Differential Equations (MA209) and Real Analysis (MA203). Prior to joining LSE, Eleni was a research fellow in the Basic Research Institute in the Mathematical Sciences (BRIMS) at Hewlett-Packard Labs in Bristol and in the Department of Control Optimisation and Stochastics at Delft University of Technology.
