Abdullah has been teaching in the Department, since 2014. To date, he has taught and supported the following courses: MA100, MA103, MA107, MA203, MA212 and MA231.
Prior to joining the Department, he was associate adjunct professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at the American University of Kuwait, and associate adjunct professor of Finance and Operations Research at the Maastricht Business School of Kuwait. Prior to this, Abdullah was fixed income portfolio manager at Colonial Asset Management in Boston, and director of proprietory trading at Merrill Lynch Tokyo.
Abdullah's current areas of research include: mathematical models for corporate disclosure, and fixed income derivative model arbitrage.
Besides finance and mathematics, Abdullah enjoys: classical music, the opera, chess, Victorian literature, running, riding and scuba diving.
