Dimitris Soudias is Visiting Fellow at the Hellenic Observatory, Marilena Laskaridis Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Amsterdam (February-June 2022), and member in the theme group 'The Politics of (De)familiarization' at the Netherlands Institute of Advanced Study (March-June 2022). His research is informed by economic sociology, and cultural economy approaches to the study of such issues as creativity, happiness, entrepreneurship, uncertainty, and the social economy.
Dimitris previously held research positions at the London School of Economics, Philipps-Universität Marburg, and Freie Universität Berlin. He was also the Head of Library and Information at the Goethe-Institut Athens. Dimitris received his doctorate in political science from Philipps-Universität Marburg. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Middle East Studies from the American University in Cairo, and a Dipl. Pol. in Political Science from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.
Dimitris' book, 'Paradoxes of Emancipation: Neoliberalism and Radical Imagination in Greece and Beyond', is currently under contract with Syracuse University Press.
