Professor Stark discusses the conditions for innovation; analysis of dissonance, including the necessity of a healthy critical social science and humanities to innovation.

David Stark is LSE Centennial Professor and Arthur Lehman Professor of Sociology and International Affairs at Columbia University.

Mike Power is professor of accounting at the Department of Accounting and former director of the Centre for the Analysis of Risk and Regulation (CARR) at LSE.
