Employers rate LSE as one of the best in the world

Graduation Old BuildingThe latest QS World University Rankings see LSE rated as one of the top universities in the world for employer reputation.

QS ranked LSE sixth worldwide based on employers’ ratings –scoring 100 out of 100. The School also scored very highly for its proportion of overseas staff and students, coming eighth in the world for international students.

Overall, the rankings place LSE at 37th in the world, one of only nine UK universities in the top 50.

Earlier in 2016 the QS rankings judged eight LSE disciplines to be in the world’s top five and 13 in the global top ten. LSE was ranked as second in the world for Social Policy and Administration and third in the world for Media and Communications, Politics and International Studies and Development Studies.

For the past three years the QS World University Rankings have also placed LSE as second in the world in the social sciences and management faculty area, just behind Harvard.

The next QS subject rankings and faculty area rankings are due to be published in March 2017.
