Dr Marta Entradas of the Department of Social Psychology has been awarded a European Young Researchers’ Award (EYRA).
The EYRA recognises post-doctoral fellows who have demonstrated outstanding research performance and leadership, with clear European focus in their work. The EYRA panel unanimously recommended Dr Entradas to share the EYRA 2016 award with Dr Martijn Wieling of the University of Groningen.
Dr Entradas said: “I am very pleased that my dedication and work in science communication research has been recognised by the EYRA panel, and the award will help me to bring my work to a larger audience.
The award is both European and open to all areas of research, making it a broad and highly competitive prize.”
It is also the first time the prize has been awarded to social scientists, which I would like to dedicate to my home country of Portugal!”
The EYRA prize-giving-ceremony will be held on 25 July 2016 at the EuroScience Open Forum in Manchester.
