LSE ranked best UK university for Economics and Media studies

LSE_Old_Building-largeLSE has been ranked the best place in the UK to study Economics and Media & Communications in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject.

Within the Social Science discipline, the 2015 rankings place LSE in the top eight of nine subject areas and second in the world for Geography in the Natural Sciences discipline, behind the University of Oxford.

In the global context, the School achieved the following world rankings:

  • Geography (2)
  • Economics; Politics and International Studies (4)
  • Accounting and Finance; Media & Communications, Development Studies; Sociology (5)
  • History (6)
  • Law (7)
  • Philosophy (8)

The QS rankings are calculated by combining the results of surveys of 85,000 academics and almost 42,000 employers, taking into account millions of research papers and academic citations.
