American Fund for LSE is the new name for the LSE Centennial Fund, reflecting more accurately the significant philanthropic contribution to the School made by alumni and friends of LSE in the United States through annual and regular giving.
The name change took effect from 1 January 2016. American Fund for LSE is a non-profit "501(c)(3)" organization based in New York through which US taxpayers can direct charitable contributions for the benefit of the London School of Economics. The organization’s tax id or EIN remains unchanged: 52-1908117. Contributions to American Fund for LSE are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
Over recent years the Fund has continually supported the LSE Annual Fund. Each year the American Fund supports a wide variety of projects on campus ensuring that donations are used where they are most needed and that they have the largest possible impact at the School.
In 2015/16, the Fund helped to support a range of projects and initiatives across the School that enhance LSE life. These can be viewed in the report to donors.
We hope that you will support the American Fund for LSE this year. It is crucial to the work of the Annual Fund. You enable us to make a difference to student lives and the academic and research rigour of LSE.
