The School has drawn up procedures for the ethical screening of grants and donations, which were approved by Council on 19 June 2012. These procedures and the terms of reference for the Ethics (Grants and Donations) Panel can be found in the Ethics section of the School website.

Donor Charter

The Donor Charter sets out what donors to the School should expect in their relationship with LSE Advancement.

Responsibility for fundraising

No individual, centre or department should request a donation on their own initiative without first consulting LSE Advancement or the Research Division at an early stage. This does not apply to discussions with the Economic and Social Research Council and similar grant giving bodies over potential competitive bids for funds.
