Thanks to support from the New Futures Fund, the brightest and most talented students are able to take up their place at LSE, regardless of their financial circumstances. The fund offers full and partial awards in addition to 'top ups' to students who receive funding that does not fully cover the cost of their studies or who are studying programmes that are not supported through the School or philanthropic scholarships.
The fund also provides support for degree programmes that include elements which incur additional costs such as the opportunity to study at a partner institution abroad. In addition, the funds also provides support to students who find themselves in a late funding crisis, which has been caused by illness or death in the family or the abrupt withdrawal of promised financial support from other sources.
The New Futures Fund is able to provide this crucial scholarship support to deserving students through the support to the LSE Annual Fund. The LSE Annual Fund has committed £150,000 a year for the next three years to the New Futures Fund. With the generous support from alumni and friends, the New Futures Fund was able to provide scholarships to 14 students this academic year.
