Admissions calendar

The calendar below is designed to inform you of important dates in the admissions process and identifies key dates when either information will be sent to you or when you need to send information to us.

September

UCAS admissions cycle opens

Late September

LSE starts receiving hard copy forms of your application alongside electronic copies from UCAS.

Early October

The Undergraduate Admissions Office begins checking applications to ensure that subject requirements have been met (e.g. Maths A level for Economics)

Mid October - End March

Applications are then carefully considered by the relevant Admissions Tutor on the basis of the overall academic profile including actual or predicted examination results, the personal statement and academic reference. When considering an application, the Admissions Tutor decides whether the applicant has demonstrated the academic standard and level of knowledge (including proficiency in English) and has the academic potential, motivation and aspiration necessary to complete the course successfully.

First decisions are transmitted to UCAS. Further decisions are sent to UCAS on a weekly basis. You should check UCAS Track regularly for the latest update on your application.
