LSE Summer School 2016 fees:

(Students taking more than one course will be eligible for discounted rates as outlined below.)

* Student rate applies to all full-time students who are currently enrolled at a University or College anywhere in the world. 

In addition, a £50 application fee must be paid when submitting your application. 

A 10% reduction in fees is available to the following groups:

  • Current LSE students
  • LSE alumni
  • Former LSE Summer School students

To ensure that the discount is awarded, applicants should ensure that the appropriate section of the application form is completed. Please note that the 10% discount does not apply to students studying through the University of London International Programme.

The £50 application fee must be paid using a credit card when submitting your application.

Once you have been made an offer, your tuition fees can be paid using a debit/credit card or via bank transfer using our online payment system. Unfortunately LSE does not accept American Express or Diners Club.

In order to withdraw from the programme students must inform the Summer School Office in writing and receive written acknowledgement of their withdrawal. Tuition fees will then be refunded in accordance with the terms set out below. The application fee is non-refundable.

  • All refunds are made in UK Sterling. LSE cannot refund any shortfalls due to exchange rate fluctuations, or offer compensation for any bank or other charges incurred.  
  • Refunds for online payments will be made onto the credit/debit card used to make the payment.
  • Refunds requested after 1 June will be processed after the full Summer School programme has finished in August.
