Summer School accommodation

LSE Summer School students have the opportunity to book accommodation in LSE's halls of residence, where regular year students live whilst studying. The types of room and facilities available vary depending on the hall but all are within easy walking distance of campus.

It is only possible to apply for accommodation once a formal offer of a place at the Summer School has been made.

An accommodation booking form should be submitted online once you have been accepted onto the programme. It is not possible to apply for accommodation until you have received an LSE ID number which is included in your offer email.

The applications will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis, so early applications are essential. The Summer School regrets that it is unable to guarantee accommodation for late applications.

If you are looking for accommodation for the preparatory English courses (29 June - 3 July, 20 July – 24 July), please would you indicate this in the special request field of the booking form. We will contact you directly in a separate email with your housing options within our halls for that period.

Cancellations

It is important to note that any cancellation can only be accepted in writing from the person who made the booking and is not effective until received by the Residential Services office.

The equivalent of seven nights total fee will be non-refundable in the event of a cancellation either by one or all persons named on the booking.

The applicant shall waive this right for any refund of payment for accommodation should cancellation be made less than one week prior to the commencement of the booking.

In the event that any or all persons in the applicant's party fail to arrive and 24 hours written cancellation is not received, the applicant shall waiver 100 per cent of the total charges which would have been incurred by these persons.

The School will waive a proportionate part of the accommodation which it re-lets but shall be under no obligation to re-let any of the accommodation.

Students are advised to insure themselves against the possibility of cancellation due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances.
